in case of fire please follow the following safety instructions

1) on discussing fire sound alarm and alert staff. staff should be fully conversant with the procedure for the evaucation.

2) children should be familiarised with the evaucation procedure,it should be child friendly. star pictures on the floor or a firefly to direct children to the assembly point, fire brigade should be called babies should be carried to safety.

3) exits should be kept clear at all times and locked at all times.

4) a register of staff all babies should be taken at the start of each day all checked at in assembly point anyone leaving the building during the day either staff, children should be signed out.

for the children to do when there is a fire!

when there is a fire they should follow the stars that are on the floor that takes them straight to the fire exit so that they can get out and to safety.and the children must not run when there is a fire because of the children can get hurt when running to get out the of the nursery because of the fire.and they should leave everything behind and not go back in the building to get anything. make sure that they exit by walking in a line to the assembly point to safety.

if there is a fire in the nursery then you should alert the staff that there is a fire in the nursery then push the fire alarm to let the rest of the school know that there is a fire and then quickly get the children out of the nursery to the assembly point and make sure that the staff carry the babies out saftey and to the assmebly point and make sure that everyone is at the assembly point so you would have to do a register and a head count of the children and the staff to make sure that you got all the children and if you leave the building at any point of the day staff or a children must sign out for their sake just incase of a fire so that we know that you have gone home
